Hi! Does anyone know if you have to pay for the Kia EV9 light patterns feature? Or, is there a trial for it, at least?

I’m not sure, but it might depend on your trim level or region. You should check with your dealer to see if there’s a trial or if it’s part of a package.

I got the car, and these lights are always doing this disco thing because the daytime running lights are always on. But the real show only happens when I unlock it or when it does that little 'welcome' dance. It's a bit pricey for just a light show, so I'd only get it if it was on sale. Maybe if it was like, under $150, I might consider it.

I've been wondering about those cool light patterns too. From what I've read, the light patterns feature on the EV9 is tied to specific trim levels. It's not an optional extra you can just add on, but rather a feature that comes standard on higher trims. So, no, there's no separate subscription or trial for it. If your EV9 has it, you're good to go! If it doesn't, unfortunately, it's not something you can enable later. It's all about which trim package you have.

Yeah, in the meantime I found that myself. I still don't know if I should go with it or not. I can see you guys are excited about it. Thanks for the replies, though.
