Hey, guys! what do you think about the EV9's design? I like the interior, and the seats a lot. It feels super spacious. But the exterior is meh. The wheel designs and gloss black cladding make me say it is hideous. Also, why so less color options, but the over-styled design? Do you think they will make any design updates in the future?

I don't know what to say. For me, I like it. Yeah, it could look better with different wheels and without the black plastic, but even so, I like the way it is. I have the silver mate on it and it is nice. See the Palisade 2024 if you want to see a different style.

Generally speaking, EV cars look good. At least, most of them do so. On the EV9, I don't like the gloss plastic wheel. But knowing it is there for aero, I can accept it.

I was all set to get a white one, but then I saw the Ivory Silver and I was like, 'Whoa!' The way it changes color is totally wild, like something from a sci-fi movie. Seriously, this is the best car I've ever owned, and I've driven some pretty sweet rides like a Q7 and an M3.

Of course, everyone has their own taste, but I'm totally obsessed with this color.

The EV9's design seems to be polarizing! It gets a lot of praise for the spacious and well-designed interior, especially the comfortable seats but the exterior styling, particularly the wheels and gloss black cladding, seems to be a major point of contention for many. "Hideous" is a strong word, but it sounds like you're not alone in finding it less appealing. The limited color options also seem like an odd choice given the already bold design. Whether Kia will make design updates in the future is anyone's guess, manufacturers often tweak styling with mid-cycle refreshes.

EV9 is definitely a polarizing design, isn't it? I get what you're saying, the interior space and those comfy seats are a huge win, it feels positively cavernous buuut the exterior... Its a meh! The gloss black cladding and some of the wheel choices are a bit much, almost like they're trying too hard. And you're right, the limited color palette is strange considering how busy the overall design is. It feels like they could have toned down the styling a bit and offered more sophisticated color options. I'd bet they'll tweak the design eventually, maybe with a mid-cycle refresh. Hopefully they'll listen to feedback and offer some less flamboyant exterior options and more mature colors.

I was really into the Kia EV9 – loved the look, the design, everything! But then…a power button? Seriously? I know it's a small thing, but shouldn't EVs in 2024 be a bit more seamless? I could probably get over it, but…

The real kicker for me was the one-pedal driving. You have to turn it on every single time you drive?! Come on! Don't EVs remember these settings? Having to reset it constantly just feels so clunky and not the modern EV experience I'm looking for. Am I being too picky here?

So, even though I was totally digging the EV9's style and all the other features, I think I'm going to have to wait. Fingers crossed they fix these things in future versions! It's such a shame, because it was so close to being perfect! What do you guys think? Are these deal-breakers for you too?
