A distant relative recently got his EV9, and he's been noticing some odd behavior. After 6 days, it requests a top-up every 3-4 hours, even with the battery capped at 80%. He suspects it’s charging the 12V battery, as the light comes on right after unplugging. Both digital keys are active, and the data port stays on when the AC is plugged in. He hasn’t received the latest OTA update yet and can’t figure out how to check the firmware. In contrast, his EV6 never asks for more power after it's fully charged. He’s planning to disable the digital keys and fingerprint to see if that helps. Has anyone else experienced something similar with the EV9?
